The guitar plays and sounds good though buyer may want it set up to their own specs. I take that to mean they re-manufactured the neck in June of 72, using the original neck from Sept 1957. This is my guess from the note on heel that says "ReMfg 6-72, Orig 9-57," along with someone's last name. ![]() Also, they added 70s-period tuners and 70s style watermark to the headstock. I would guess that means a full re-fret and refinish of the neck. Also, according to writing on the heel of the neck (see pics below), the neck was re-done in 1972. Body and neck are original but a previous owner added a rear body contour and refinish to the body. First, what I believe is original are the pickup, bridge, pickguard, and all electronics.
